WPI has influenced my life...
WPI was the first time and place I felt I could be completely myself, and not only did people accept me, they *celebrated* me! The environment and culture of WPI is unmatched and unrivaled. Absolutely.
I’d rather be...
at WPI. It has indeed become my home; producing that sigh of relief and contentment every time I set foot on the campus after being away. Bonds are created through the group mentality that is prevalent throughout the culture and curriculum, in every aspect of campus life. This is why I joined Residential Services as an RA; it has provided an avenue to be an integral part of defining that culture.
Teamwork is...
everything. While the talented can hold their own, it is only in a group that is united on a single purpose that true ability can shine and incredible potential be unleashed. WPI gives every effort to nurture this environment.
Sports and recreation are important because...
they create a foundation for teamwork, and provide the physical exercise needed to balance the rigorous intellectual challenges presented every day.
My favorite WPI moment...
Knowing that no matter how geeky and nerdy you may be, there is always someone you can share that with, who understands when you get excited over mathematical theories. Yet there is always someone who is many times more nerdy than you, and someone with entirely different interests altogether, creating a harmonious blend where there is a place for everyone. I love it here!
